Despite reading only 61 books this year (so far), I happened to read some truly amazing books by equally amazing authors. This could be the reason why there are thirteen of them mentioned here instead of the usual ten. I have no regrets.

Covers matter. Sometimes it so happens that an absolutely gorgeous cover is redesigned to target a different audience. Sometimes they’re just bad. But sometimes, someone decides to redesign a cover which turns out to be absolutely perfect. As it’s Sci-Fi Month, I’m focusing on sci-fi cover redesigns that should exist on this planet in print. I feel like such an embarrassment to have not read this book yet. But fear not for Wendy, Tonya and K are having a The Book Thief readalong in October over at The Midnight Garden which I totally approve of.
