Ha, first off I really was going to post this as a recap of August and was so sad that July AND August is over and that I got so little reading done. Go me.
LIST OF NEWSWORTHY
A lot of continuous partial attention
So I was extremely busy and had to go out a lot which I don’t mind but I’d rather spend my free time reading and/or alone. Oh, this is boring so I’ll just leave off here. On an unrelated note, I did apply for a passport so that’s something.
#BarrydAlive
Oh man, I got sucked deep into The Flash this year and I was dying to know what’s going to happen. (A moment of appreciation for the existence of SDCC). So. I’ve watched about 10+ hours of interviews and SDCC panels of the cast already. I never rewatch trailers but I sure as hell have watched the trailers of season 3 several times (and died every time). I’ve this post open on my phone’s browser because it makes me smile every time I look at it. I’ve already made plans to rewatch the show in August. The best-worst part is that that’s not even all of it because I’m slightly embarrassed to go into it more.
TV WATCH
Watching only 5 TV shows in a month must be some kind of a record for me.
- Gilmore Girls – 8 episodes into season 4 and still adjusting with all the major changes. I guess that says it all.
- Doctor Who – Halfway through season 2 and this show is so much fun. I do want more companions to show up already, though.
- Stranger Things – Watched it all in less than 24 hours about 5 days ago and still very obsessed with a bunch of 12-year-olds. Who’d have thought?
- DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – I had no plans to ever watch this show but Captain Cold and Sara Lance made me finally do it. Also going to blame Ellis and Crini (especially for having to suffer through the scenes that don’t have either Cold or Sara in them).
- Suits – I love that they have even more mess to deal with because of Mike and then there’s their firm to handle, too. (Thank fuck that Mike don’t have that douche-bag haircut anymore) (which they compensated for by making him do stupid things).
MOVIE WATCH
No comment. Ha.
LIST OF READS
On the one hand I’m glad that the one book I finished was a reread but on the other, this is me talking about one book only. I did start a few, though.

Haha, I only finished 3 books in July, so I didn’t do much better than you when it came to reading. 😛 But I hope we both get back into the reading groove, because so far I’m still struggling. XD AND THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD BOOKS. I can’t wait for you to read “The Lost & Found”!
Natalie @ Flowers in my Books says
Everyone keeps harping on about Stranger Things and it’s only confirming a desperate need inside of myself to watch it.
And I’m so clearly behind in the book world because I’ve heard of approximately 1 of those books you’ve mentioned. Guess I need to hit up goodreads.
Morgan @ Gone with the Words says
Passport yay! Mine expired a couple years ago.
My July was pretty good quantity wise- I read 9 books. But of those my only 5 stars were HP rereads and it was mostly a bunch of 3 star books. A little meh. I also DNFed two books.
I envy your ability to just watch shows! I have such a mental block about catching up with shows, esp if there are a lot of episodes. I always want to Block Out Time When I’m Not Tired (hahahah when is that…). It’s always fun to find a new obsession isn’t it ? 😛 Yay Flash (which I still need to watch, of course).

It’s been a long time since I’ve listened to TFK but I checked out the song on your playlist and enjoyed it! I’ll have to listen to them some more again.

OMG, just ONE book last month? I was already embarrassed by my performance and I at least managed to read 3 XD
And NO MOVIES too? Are you okay? ;D
At least you found the time to watch STRANGER THINGS, that was definitely one of my July highlights, too!
Let’s see how long it takes you to catch up on me on DOCTOR WHO, I’ve been stuck between seasons 4 and 5 for almost half a year already XD
I got DARK MATTER last month too and I can’t wait to read it, I’ve heard so many good things about it already!
I’m also curious for THE THREE-BODY PROBLEM which has been on my TBR for way more than a year now /o\

I literally watched the part of the interview where Tom says Grant reminds him of HP AT LEAST 100 TIMES. His reply is TOO CUTE. And of course – I, too, was sucked into watching The Flash but I’m OBSESSED and will re-watch this show over and over again.
Crini says
Just one book for both July and August would have been really sad LOL
Yay for getting a passport! Any specific plans in mind or…?
barrydalive hahaha, how accurate. I only just finished and I already want to re-watch. SDCC videos first though.
I infected my sister with the Stranger Things obsession so I watched it again within 24h, which makes 2 1/2 times now and I’m not even remotely embarrassed.
We need to up your movie watch and finally watch Star Wars this month! Oh man, so much to do, we basically need to watch and read at the same time.
I can’t wait for you to read The Lost & Found!!! I might just end up re-reading again with you XD
I need to get Dark Side, Fifth Season and Hope and Red too! All three very high up on my wishlist. Not that I need even more to read but whatever.
